For The Love of Porches

Spring is in the air which means it's almost porch sitting weather. We southerners love  two things...sweet tea and porches. Indeed they are a staple in the south. After a long day, it's so relaxing to sit on the porch and watch the world go by. They're the perfect place for an afternoon nap or to sit with a friend and catch up on life. Big, small, sleeping porches or screened in porches I love them all. Just one look at these photos and you will see why we love love them so much. Here are just a few images I've had the pleasure of designing.

Great post for me! We live in Indiana, but love the south and are building a southern style house. We are building it ourselves. It has three porches! There are so many porch styles I don't know where to begin!!! And I never would have though to put party lights on the porch, the patio maybe, but not the porch. Great idea! I have a house blog if you are so inclined to give any input as I love your style. www.thehouseonhilltopfarm.blogspot.com

Thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful porches! Sitting on a beach-breezy porch with a cup of coffee...there is no better way to start your day! So, this is where I am right now - not in my gray cubicle at work!
Thank you for sharing your amazing work!
